News! I have been accepted as the newest member of a semi-professional a cappella group called None of the Above. This makes me very happy, as it has been too long since I have been able to focus so much on vocal music. I regret that I’ll be losing out on the Brandeis Early Music Ensemble, which has been a mostly constant activity for the past 8 years. It taught me a lot (including making an instrumentalist out of a singer). This new prospect excites me, and I hope this new road in my life leads to pleasant vistas.

The next opportunity you have to see NotA will be October 6th at The Center for Arts in Natick. Come out and see us!

this might be short notice, but if anyone is interested in joining us, we’re going to a house concert on Saturday night (the 11th). I know many of you will be busy with other htings, or preparing for the next day, but if not, and interested, let me know, I’ll find a way to get you there. We’re going to the Foxrun concert series to see Sean Altman and a duo of Da Vinci’s Notebook members (Paul and Storm). It’ll be a fantastic show, and a small one; they only have about 60 seats. So go to their web site and reserve your seats, and then let me know!

Sunday all the new students arrived. Yesterday, all the returning students arrived. As expected, things are insanely busy. Combined with trying to get everything put away at the new place, starting up Macbeth rehearsals, placating family, and generally having everything happen *right now* I’m quickly fraying like a cheap rope. Things could be worse. Things could always be worse. I just need to rummage around the corners of my life for every available drop of free time right now. Thanks to those of you who consistently prove to be understanding and supportive of this fact.
