Saw Spamalot on Tuesday.
If you haven’t seen it, go get tickets now. Now! Seriously, it’s an excellent production, with great costumes and scenery. They work in most of the material from the movie, and some other MP material in a very well-done fashion. Particularly I like the clever use of scene cuts, interruptions, and extra material used to make some of the stunts in the movie work on the stage. They took out a lot of the gags I liked (No Duck, No Zoot, No Lorries at the end…) but they added in some new material in musical fashion that worked very well. I won’t say what any of that new material is, for obvious reasons….
Yesterday I got to watch my odomoter roll up to the 5 nines mark, and over to that 100,000 place and beyond. Hmm. I should take the car in for a complete tune-up, methinks.
Brisk activity in the LARP world. Tons of chatter on the larpa-gen mailing list, bit of work to help out Eric and Gordon’s LARPcast, nascent beginnings of a TMA run in April, BILGE (Brandeis Interactive Literature Gaming Event) sometime in late April/Early May, and the distant rumblings of something down in Pennsylvania. We’ll see.
For now, I’m going to take it easy, take my folks to Cheesecake Factory tomorrow, gig over at the Wellesley UU on Sunday, and take it from there.
