*gulp* I bought a car this weekend. It’s not often a person gets to put themselves into that much debt in an afternoon.
For the curious, it’s a 2005 Toyota Matrix, in an off-black color. I’ll pick it up in a few days after they’re done putting in the iPod kit I wrangled out of them.

Yes, the ’05 model only has the CD player, although I also looked at an ’04 (but the ’05 is All wheel drive, and has a sun/moonroof!). I really wanted them to throw in the iPod kit because it’s a lifestyle thing. I listen to a fair number of podcasts, mostly on my commute. They suggested an FM adapter, but I’ve tried them in the past and find that there really isn’t a clear frequency in the Greater Boston area, which isn’t that surprising. I’ve been making do with a cassette adapter, and haven’t been too displeased.
